Grace's Monday night Softball!

Tonight Grace had an early game!  Thank you Lord for the sunshine, warm night and an early game so we can go to bed early.  I'm still trying to catch up from sleep.  Even with a restful Sunday I still feel behind!

AAU!

Grace had a game Friday night and I forgot to charge my camera.  :-(  I'll do better.

Kacey played in her first AAU tournament of the year today.  It's more laid back than last years team.  She is mainly just wanting to have some fun and get some play in before try outs.  She's enjoying the schedule since it is only one night a week.

Two pictures and camera died again.  I've got to do better!!!

Tennis State Tournament!

Wednesday after 4-H, Kacey and I drove to Montgomery for the tennis tournament!  Thursday morning we were up by 5 breakfast by 6 and at the courts before 7!  Lots of tennis and a long day!

 After some crazy matches some of the teams had to call for a line judge!  Thankfully Kacey's match wasn't one of them!

4-H County Round-up!

I'm still trying to figure out the new blogger layout.  I must say so far I do NOT like it!!!  But I'm trying not to whine!  :-)  So tonight is catch up night... back dating... maybe illegal but it works.

Today was county round up!  Grace participated in the $15 dollar challenge.  It's where you have to buy an outfit for under 15 dollars, provide info and receipts complete with interview.  No parents allowed!  So I did what any mom would took a sneak picture through the window in the door.

 She also did a freestyle demonstration on mosaics.  She used ribbon.

 She did a great job!

 She found some friends during break time and we enjoyed lunch together.  I ran to chick-fil-a and treated my girl to her favorite meal!

Monday Nights COLD softball!

Tonight we played again in Guntersville.  It was bitter cold!!!

We were wrapped up like eskimos!

Weekend rewind!

I am having an awful time with the new layout for loading pictures so we'll look at the weekend backward!  Today Kacey meet with a new tennis instructor. 

She enjoyed it very much.

 Today at church they recognized Greg for his ordination.

 Yesterday we enjoyed a night with the Rowe's.  Bucky, Greg, Kacey and Lane played tennis.  Kristi and I stayed in.  It was cold!!!  way to windy and cold!

Earlier in the day we attended a Princess Spa Party at the Lansfords!

 Saturday morning Grace had softball practice and Kacey and I slept as long as we possibly could!  It was heavenly!!!  Friday night we had a family shower for Jessica.  We had a good time!

Random Friday Post!

As of Wednesday Kacey's Tennis team are Section Runners up... meaning we are going to State competition.  I'm praying for a safe fun trip and maybe some rest along the way.   I'm glad they are getting to go but I am really thinking there goes 24 more hours of leave!  Oh well one of these days I'll be trying to figure out what to take leave on... although I doubt that!

~ The Narrell's have had about 3 week's of crazy busy... we are tired!!!!

~  I've majorly procrastinated with some things and that only makes the stress higher.  - I should know better!  Apparently I'm a slow learner.

~  My computer will not post pictures right now.  I have no clue why.

~ Last night Grace had a game and it was crazy.  We have won all of our games so far and we lost but that's okay...  I would rather loose and keep our witness then to be so highly competitive we forget it is about Christ and those kids.  It was just one of those nights.  The other team's pitcher got hit in the head and I know it hurt.  The coach without walking out to check on her ... while she was blubbering I might add yelled awe, your okay stop your crying!  Yikes!  A grown man tell my Grace she should have had the ball.  Really?

She had 3 outs that inning and the one she missed... really.. I'm glad Momma Bear didn't know til  after the game.  Coach has been alerted!  :-)  We had at LEAST 4 girls on our team crying at one point or another.  Pitcher because she was mad her Momma was fussing on her.  Grace because old man grump.... Grace before we even got to the field because she got her finger caught in the door as we were heading out.  Teammate because she got out.  Teammate because the batter before her was swinging her bat and hit her in the ankle.  Teammate because she got out when the pitcher caught her pop fly.... she was walking off the field crying and Greg said, don't be upset, that was a great hit, you'll get one next time.  Good job and she yelled at him.  I JUST WANT TO HIT SOMEBODY!  He stopped looked at me and was like what is going on...  Full Moon???  I have no idea but if you take the adults away I think the kids would have a better time... The schools have just ended 2 weeks of testing, so I know they are tired and worn out but my word!  NOTE TO SELF!  pray up before every game.  Remember it is only a game and NEVER I repeat NEVER be a drama Momma!  It ain't that big!  :-)

~  I'm ready to slow down and find a good book!

~ I'm am ready to get some rest and be in the land of laziness for a weekend!

Section Tournament

Yesterday Kacey competed in the Sectional Tournament. It was a long, wet day!

Doubles were first, she competed in #1 Doubles and they won against southside 10-1

They lost to Boaz in the semi-finals.

She won her first singles against Southside 10 - 4.

She won against Albertville in the Semi-finals 10-4

She lost in the finals for Singles against Cullman. Runner up for a Freshman is pretty awesome!

Even if it is my freshman! She was so tired at the end of the day.

Rain Delays made the day so much longer.

There were a few times I thought they'd have to call it sooner than they did.

We were all huddled under a pavilion like little ducks thankful we weren't out in it under a canopy like most teams.

But I sure felt sorry for the young men that kept having to squeegee the courts, they stayed busy!

So proud of Kacey and her team. They were in Second place when the tournament was called by 2 points but Albertville had some still in the finals. Cullman (who just happens to have won state last year) and the year before that.... was in first. If Albertville wins some of their matches they could go to state so it's a waiting game. Regardless what a year!
