Grace Game 3!

Grace Narrell Fan club!

I took this one...

KROWE The rest.... Kacey took... :-)

She shoots..... and she scores!

And then Kacey gets side tracked and I had a dozen of these pictures...

then some more ball pictures... oh and a water bottle picture!

and then some of these....

and more of this...

With some more ball mixed in!

then Grace had the ball and another girl was trying to get it and proceeded to take fist and beat on my child... Momma bear was not impressed!

but sweet friends, made it better.

Love having a support group...

We won 20 - 6!

Grace played a very good game, she played the best ever I do believe.

But this Momma sure did want to wrap her arms around her and just love on her awhile....

Growing up is hard to do.

Saturday!

For the Iron Bowl, we had the Rowe's and Lane join the party!

The tree house, got some attention!

The glow dome was played with for the first time in close to a year recently after seeing on TV where some kids drew a fire on one. Grace liked it and it's been a new toy since. It got some Rowe attention.

During half time Kacey set up her tree.

She got her tree last year... I'm still loving the blue...

We got spanked in the Iron bowl, which we knew was coming. But we had loads of fun with Sweet fellowship! Ate way to much and played but that's never enough!

Happy Saturday all!

It's beginning to look a lot like......

Christmas!!!

Grace spent the night with Grayson/Taylor last night. Kacey and I slept late this morning, went to pick her up and then went and did a little Christmas shopping. Ate at Rosie's and went home took a nap, then went to find a white tree and then off to the Holly Pond Christmas Tournament to watch "the boy" play! We got home around 11... pm... then we decorated Grace's NEW Christmas tree. I wrapped presents and went to bed around 1ish... :-)

We had the best day, full of laughs and giggles. I LOVE days that you think at the end of it. It's been a good day! A good day.

Love Love Love it...

Thank you Lord...

~~

and now I present you the Purple tree!

I'm loving the purple!

We still have to find a topper but we will! ;-)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Thanksgiving!

Before we left for thanksgiving lunch!

we took pictures!
We had a good thanksgiving. We had a wonderful meal.
We were few in number which made my heart sad, I missed us all being together.
Some traveling and some spread out.
I missed the busyness the kids, the chaos.
I'm praying next Thanksgiving is Crazy again. Crazy in a good way.
Crowded... full... happy... with kids.
the way it's meant to be.
Our house is small but I would host in a heartbeat if it meant we could all be under one roof.
Greg and I were talking about Christmas/Thanksgiving when Mamaw and Papaw Narrell were alive. Us all in that small house, packed in like sardines... I wouldn't trade a minute of it... Us sneaking when Mamaw and Papaw weren't looking and opening the door for air!
They would drag card tables out and set them up in the middle bedroom and everywhere they could squeeze one in and they'd play Carrom and Rook and anything else. I miss those moments. I want my kids to know those moments!
I so could have been born in the Walton's day! The house full!
~ Good night John boy!~

Decorating the Tree!

As a family... is one of my
most favorite things....

all the keepsake ornaments....

they each tell a story about us...

our story....

and I wouldn't change a paragraph of it...

Happy Wednesday!

Wednesday!

Wednesday's ramblings...

  • I cooked two cakes last night and while melting the butter for one in the microwave, the microwave caught fire. Hence I have a microwave sitting in my back yard!

  • I plan on doing my black Friday shopping from the computer in bed. :-)

  • Grace has one pair of shoes suitable for church. one and their not the best...

  • I am amazed it's 11/23.... where has this year gone...

  • Kacey is still having severe acid reflux issues :-(

  • My children grow me! Challenge me but I know they love me!

  • I have so much to be thankful for and I'm blessed to have been given the gift of an amazing family.

  • I'm blessed to have a hard working, Godly husband that I get to share this journey with.

  • I'm blessed with two amazing and beautiful daughters.

  • We are blessed with health.

  • I'm blessed with parents, sisters and extended loved ones that I cherish each holiday with.

  • I'm blessed to have amazing and wonderful friends that lift me and encourage me when I can't find the strength to lift myself. I have a circle of friends that I'm blessed with and special tent friends that I would move mountains to help if they needed it.

  • I'm blessed with a job, cars and a home that without the people in it would just be another house! The people in it is what makes it special and no amount of money can buy love! Happy Thanksgiving

Weekend in review!

I pray you had a restful weekend...

Friday Kacey had a ball game. They beat the Boaz pirates!

Then Kacey went midnight bowling with the youth from Union Grove,

and spend the night with the porches.

Then we collected shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child!

Our favorite time of the year!

And Operation Christmas Child is our favorite ministry project.

The girls love to shop knowing that it is the only thing these children will get for Christmas and they get to share in reaching a child for Christ half way around the world!

Saturday night we got to celebrate Lawson's 6th birthday with a Sports Center Party.

I can't believe he is six!

Sunday after church our family of four celebrated Thanksgiving together. We enjoyed just spending the day together. I cooked with some gnarrell help and they went back and forth helping Greg....

We all pick one dish to have so Mom isn't cooking all day but we hit all our favorites.

Greg - dressing

Grace - mashed potatoes and Gravy

Kacey - Sweet potatoes and Green been casserole

topped off with ham, rolls and brownies....

Love our family days.

Then we got to celebrate the thanksgiving season with our sister churches at the community service. A great way to end a wonderful weekend!

And yes I have my kitchen tree up. We usually have it decked out for Thanksgiving with pumpkins, leaves and scarecrows but we've not done very well with that this year. But it's up!

I pray you had an awesome weekend filled with the ones you love.

Today....

Ever have days you just feel a little off, a little overwhelmed. I can't pinpoint the exact cause. I just have felt a little heavy the last few days...

I was reading a devotion this morning about Holidays and when you start getting stressed remember to Be Still.... Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted on the earth.

~God is not a God of busy or confusion ... Just be still....so I pulled some verses to help me just smile today.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.”

Deuteronomy 6:5-6

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. ~ (This makes me smile, just because everything that happens God knows, understands and cares and is right there) He is in control.... (Thankfully I am not - I make messes!)

Matthew 11:28-29
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.~ God doesn't want to see us rushing, weary or burdened, he longs for us to turn to him for rest.

Isaiah 40:29-31
He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. ~ This tells me I am not alone, we all grow weary and tired. But God wants us to soar. When I think about God's grace and the Eagle wings how they effortlessly they glide through the sky and seem so peaceful. Sometimes I'm more like a chicken with a broke wing flapping around trying to control everything instead of trusting and letting the Lord renew my strength.

Philippians 4:19
And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. ~ Why worry when God loves us more than we can imagine, there is not a need I have he doesn't already know and care about.

Romans 8:37-39
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~ God has me in the palm of his hand and will never let me go.

Proverbs 1:33
But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.”

John 14:27
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Romans 10:9
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. ~ May have life more abundant... he wants to bless us, he wants us to soar.

~ Sometimes I just have to be reminded, Everything is not within my control. As a matter of fact, the important things are out of my control.... “No matter how many times you get knocked down, keep getting back up. God sees your resolve. He sees your determination. And when you do everything you can do, that’s when God will step in and do what you can’t do.” ― Joel Osteen

Thank you God, for your word that I am reminded it's not all about me, it's about you. You are in perfect control, your timing is perfect and you have a plan for just me. Thank you Lord for loving me! Help me to trust.

Kacey - JV

Some Mark pictures from Priceville

hmm. I think my girl is seriously getting fouled here. Notice the hand on her arm...

just sayin.....

Praying for you Kacey to have a good year!

Have fun! We love you!

Catching up!

Thursday night Kacey's JV team beat Priceville. No pictures at the Moment...

Friday the Narrell's slept late with the exception of Greg who worked half a day!

We previewed pictures and got our flu shots.

We meet the Lansford's for Supper!

Then Grace and I baked pecan pies for the Ladies Bazaar.

Saturday we suffered through football games, and played in the yard.

Yesterday after Church at Mountain View, Greg went and played football with the boys from Union Grove. I tried not to laugh when he rolled out of bed this morning. :-)

Last night was Green night and stuffed animal night at Awana's.

I had told Grace to pick one animal to take..and then I saw this.

How do you say no to that. Most of them were even wearing Green!

So off they went.
All in Green!

complete with a picture of Dad!

Great weekend they are just never long enough.

One day at a time!

Finding Joy in the Journey.
