Halloween!

Sunday night after church the annual Pumpkin carving took place.

the debate, scary....silly or one eyed... yeah..
and a pumpkin fight...

and a Cyclopes won!

meet our one eyed pumpkin!

With an eyebrow by the way....

They are a mess! Reminding myself once again that even though Holidays look different with babies that are not babies anymore. It's still precious, still a gift and still enjoying the journey!

~~

Our Groovy girl!

The Kelley bugs!

The annual Hay ride.

My Dad is such a kid at heart. We absolutely had a blast.

Scary uncles and daddy's jumping out of the bushes and all!

We picked up some stranded motorist that were on their golf cart and the battery went dead.

slowed down for awhile for one with a stomach ache!

all and all it was a wonderful night filled with lots of candy, chaos, and love, I wouldn't want it any other way!

Fall/4-H/Skippy!

Grace's 4-H project is coming due again. The 4-H photography contest. I thought I would share some of Grace's pictures with Some of mine and Greg's thrown in as well.

Friday, Greg went hunting and Kacey went to a birthday party...

Grace and I went to Mom and Dad's and Dad had made his first Hot chocolate of the fall.

He knows Grace's love language!

Saturday we had a busy day, Grace got the flu vaccine at 9 then Kacey to the Chiropractor, then got our oil changed, then went to a 10 o'clock soccer Game for Taylor, bought a birthday gift picked up Mom and headed for the cabin.

Doesn't this picture Grace took scream fall! I love it. Makes me think of hay rides, candy corn and scarecrows! I love fall....

One of the overlooks on the way to the cabin.
Such a beautiful day! cool but beautiful!

Grace is loving the cotton fields, she thinks they are so cool. There was a little yard sale in the middle of no where so we stopped Mom shopped and Grace, Kacey and I went across the road so Grace could take pictures of the cotton.

She got lots of pictures, close up too but I like these of the mountains.

One of the green fields at the cabin.

The girls played well tormented this lizard for at least an hour

oh the joys of country life! I guess there were a few dozen pictures of him as well.

Country life!

Okay, and a little background info... about a month ago a deer started visiting the cabin every afternoon. They've named him skippy.. He is so pretty. He is really friendly and loves to play, he honestly acts like a dog. You pull on his antlers and he skips around and comes back for you to do it again. GRACE was in LOVE!

Here he is checking Grace out!

She was a little hesitate at first.

They've spray painted his spikes with glow in the dark paint along with do not shoot on his side. ;-) I pray skippy stays on the cabin's land, because other hunters my not be able to fight the temptation if a deer comes right up to you!!!

So that's skippy... Hope you enjoyed this beautiful day!

Slow Blog!

We've been enjoying this warm weather and I for one dread... winter!

I also dread the time change....

Friday night we went to assist the Rowe production assembly for an upcoming craft bazzar!

Saturday we slept late, and were perfectly lazy for the day!

Sunday Greg preached at UG and then he carried Kacey to mandatory Tennis and Grace and I went to Huntsville to find a Halloween costume and do some shopping.

Monday after work I walked then went to pick Kacey up from basketball (5-7)

Grace and Coach Greg had practice at 7... see

Not a lot of note worthy news, just livin life...

One day at a time...

It's Back!

Basketball Laundry...

I'll admit I've missed it but after this week I'll probably be over it and ready for it to go away again! We wash it when she comes in and since you can't dry the practice uniforms we hang them right away with ceiling fans on so that they'll be dry by morning to start over again!

~~

Pray for Kacey her Acid reflux is also back. Well not back I guess it never really went away but she hasn't had a severe attack in about a year that is until yesterday. We actually thought it was appendix it was so bad, she was literally doubled over. We are on Mega medicine until it regulates then back on a maintenance dose, we had been off of it and that proved to be a mistake.

Last night it got cold!!! I always hate it when the flowers get frosted over!
I have no idea what these are called but I've enjoyed them so much this year.

It's almost time to pull them up and plant pansies..

After yesterday's appointments I took a wonderful weekday nap...

I could really get used to that, then got to pick up Grace from School and we had a date with McDonald's and a brownie melt!

Since I can't run right now with my ankle giving me fits I guess I thought I'd just really sabotage the whole diet thing huh!!! ;-)

Cleaned and sat and printed coupons.

I enjoyed my unexpected day off but wish it was for a reason other than my baby hurting...

Happy Weekend, Enjoy your journey!

Weekend & Anniversary!

Friday night I wasn't feeling 100% so I stayed home alone, while my gang went to the football game. It was Wonderful. I needed it. Alone quite, just me and my pj's and a movie....

~~

Saturday I had the opportunity to go to The Great Pumpkin patch with these great kids!

We had a blast!
Lots of smiles and fun!

I think this was the point I panicked and asked little man to keep his hands from the mouth of the beast... Remember last year when we took the Kelley girls and Kacey got bit by the pig, I could see me having to call Krowe and say well we got bit..... :-)

It took some time to get just the right pumpkin!

And we were so proud, and all I could think about was years ago, watching her walk across that same field and the pumpkin was bigger than she was and she would carry sit it down and say that's hebby Momma. It was so clear in my mind it was almost painful. Time goes by so fast and it's just a sweet reminder to enjoy each minute.

And here it is the prize winning pumpkin.

Poor sweet Ethan was sick but we had the blessing of Grace having a "brother" for the day and we loved it!!!

The gang with their Pumpkins!

Me and my girl.

It was a gorgeous day and I'm so blessed beyond measure.

Sunday I still felt a little rough, I've been a little down in my back..

So Greg ran kids, to basketball meetings and around the world and I slept for two hours in the sun on the trampoline. It was heavenly and have I mentioned lately I have the best husband ever! Just sayin....

And Happy Anniversary to my Mom and Dad today, they have been married for 51 years!

Congratulations, it seems like yesterday we were having the 50th party, not a year ago...

Time flies.. today they went to Trenton, where they got married and spent the day together riding/isn't that wonderful!

Yesterday was Greg's Mom and Dad's 41!

Happy Monday!

Fragment Friday...

I'm so thankful it is Friday I could dance...

I've had too much going on and when I have a lot on my plate I tend to get snappish...

~~

I've been doing Couch to 5k for 7 weeks, last Monday I actually ran for 20 minutes solid... I was so thrilled to actually be able to do it, then yesterday was 5 minutes twice with one 8 minute in the middle and I thought I was going to die... What's up with that? I'm trying not to get discouraged since on day one 60 seconds of jogging made me feel that way.

~~

I'm still on an organizing kick and finished two more cabinets last night. It makes me feel so much better when they are done.

~~

Me, the read a holic hasn't read anything for pleasure in Months....

~~

Have I mentioned I'm thrilled with the fact it's Friday... :-)

So it begins!!!

Tonight was Grace's first basketball practice!

She had try outs last Thursday and Team selections were Tuesday.

Her coach is her Daddy ;-)

~~

Kacey went to the Jr. High to help with their practice today.

JV practice starts on Monday.

~~

Pray for us especially hard this year.

Calendars during basketball season get interesting anyway

but this year add, Greg will be at Mountain View the Month of November and life

I'm sure will be full and interesting. Pray for time management and

that we don't forget it's still life and it's meant to be fun!

Wednesday!

First off, the new blogger layout is driving me nuts! It's messed with my settings...

Fall is in the air, Sunday night Grace had company that spent the night, we had a weekend and house full of kids... lots of food, giggling and messes!

I love my girls.

Monday we got some shopping and errands ran.

We are in full Fall swing and this gal misses Fall break very much. One day is just NOT enough!

I am going through a new season of organization...

I pray it last.

Closets, drawers, cleaning out and throwing away! ;-)

Happy Wednesday!

Saturday!

Kacey had a girls night.
They made 15 Tye dye shirts!
They almost fell into the lake posing for a picture.... :-)
They had a blast!
Ate at Wintzell's!
Now they are making smores and have a couple of movies for later...
Love sweet friends and a house full of giggling girls!
