Are you sick?

You know our house has had it's share of the sinus/allergy already this season. Kacey is on her second round of antibiotics and is still miserable. So this morning when I hear something from one of the girls room before I woke them I thought oh no.... who is that, I go to the hall and listen, it's coming from Grace's room, so I run in turn on the light, her head is under her covers so I run and pull back the covers... She has the biggest smile, and still asleep. I woke her and said are you sick what was that noise, she starts laughing and said I was dreaming... ahhhh Thank you Lord.

Not Me Monday!

Welcome to NOT ME Monday!

Being Brutally Honest and living to tell about it!

I did NOT have a kid packed weekend complete with sleep overs, fishing rodeo's, birthday parties, and getting the new AWANA year started!

I did NOT have to run an errand for my husband today that took much longer than I had planned, I did NOT go by the GPS directions instead of my husbands and I did NOT end up going down some one lane roads in the middle of no where but did NOT finally come out on a main road less than .6 of a mile from my destination! I also did not get to the destination and my cell phone did not ring and it was NOT the school nurse... I did NOT have to go back through town swap vehicles with my Husband and then go by the JR High to give my crying child headache medicine, nope not me! Our plans are always smooth and work out perfectly.

I did NOT visit my parents Saturday night and shoot at chickens well actually roosters, NOPE NOT ME! What kind of a redneck do you think I am. My parent's neighbors do NOT own chickens and they do not roost in the tree next to my mother's bedroom window and start crowing at 3 am. She and I along with Dad and Grace did not sit on her front porch with a BB gun trying to keep the chicken's from going up in the tree at sunset so she could get some sleep! We did NOT have a blast in doing so, nope NOT US!

This weekend was pretty low key until Sunday. We have revival this week and Sunday was church/luncheon/children's meal at church but it was wonderful.

Saturday afternoon we went swimming with the Rowe's.

Greg didn't have to hold on, Lawson was hanging on for the both of them!

The Narrellett's decided this morning to talk about what we are thankful for.

Grace was thankful for God and her Mom and Daddy.

Kacey was thankful for this beautiful day and her parents..

I'm so thankful today is Friday, I'm thankful for my family and their health!

I'm thankful I do not have to get up early in the morning and fix 3 heads of hair! (remember Kacey's broke hand)

I'm thankful Kacey and Grace have had a good week!

I am thankful Grace's teacher has been able to attend this week and I am thankful for hearing Grace's sweet prayers for her. She has challenges ahead of her and her battle with Cancer but I'm thankful we know the Great Physician.

I'm thankful for the better reports we heard yesterday from the little boy in Grace's class that is sooo sooo sick. I'm thankful they know what is wrong and he is making slow progress.

I'm thankful that all the things in the last week that have gone wrong for us are so minor, their are so many dealing with health issues and other major life events, I'm thankful all we've had to contend with are broke cars/trucks/lawn mowers/tractors and stuff.

I'm thankful that last night when Greg was working on the tractor and the tool he plugged in didn't even come on. I thank you Lord that he has the health to get out and work on things and even fuss when they don't work!

Thank you Lord!

Please pray for Grace's teacher and her little friend and his family.

Pray for the children in her class as well they saw the little boy when he seized.

Pray for Whitney (my niece) in her recovery from her wreck she has a MRI this morning to check and see if it has affected her TMJ, she had issues before and I'm sure it hasn't helped.

And last I am so thankful I have you and so many I can call and ask to pray and you will! I am thankful for you!

We had so much fun, and most of all got some much needed rest and just enjoyed our family!

We ended the day with a game of dominos then Greg and Grace went out to catch sand crabs. Kacey wasn't feeling well so we were content to pass out!

This is Grace trying to act like a puppy begging this is the face she uses when she is trying to talk you into something she was using this to help talk Daddy into walking on the beach to hunt crabs....

Not Me Monday!

I did not get all excited coming home one day when I saw the sign at Sweet Home advertising Financial Peace University with Dave Ramsey. I had NOT read the book a couple of years ago, Total Money Makeover and was NOT thrilled it was so close. I was NOT just as disappointed when I went on their website and saw it was taking place on Sunday night. Sigh, Awana's and there's no other place I'd rather be. I had prayed if I can go Lord make it easy so I'll know... He answered. Maybe next time

I did NOT type up my Christmas List this past week, Heavens NO!

I also did NOT get some Christmas presents I ordered recently in this past week! I'm not that much of a planner... and I do NOT like to get a head start so all my shopping is done by thanksgiving... NOPE not me!

We did not enjoy our trip very much, we didn't eat to much, play to hard or rest! The weather was not perfect and we did NOT use 3 spray cans of sunscreen while we were gone!

I did NOT wait til the last week to buy school clothes, I do NOT like to plan so I would never do that.

I did not read 3 Lori Wick books while I was off work. I would never be that laid back and carefree, nope not me! And they were Not wonderful!

Summer we are so sad to see you go, no more just getting up and going in our pj's to grandma's.

No more leaving the house without brushing our hair!

No more staying up late.

No more carefree days ahhh You went by so quickly!

We are praying for our Narrelletts today and that they have a great first day and a wonderful year.

Kacey's splint is on the back side and they swelling was better this morning, she had to have help with her hair, which means she needs me again!

Weekend in Review!

Hope you had a restful weekend, after having 10 days off from work, I'll be honest I'm not really looking forward to getting up in the morning!

• Friday we had haircuts and school errands to run. In the afternoon, Jamie brought the boys to play for awhile. They have fun together. Greg worked on all our broke stuff, we have had a run of things not wanting to work very well lately! My (old) car needed work, the lawnmower... tractor...wii.... dishwasher, yep we have a steady stream of things for my sweet husband to work on for awhile! but I'm happy to report the only things still needing help after the weekend are the dishwasher, that we are just going to have to replace and the tractor... baby steps!
• Saturday Greg worked on all our broke stuff and the girls and I went to get shoes and then to the pool with Judy to swim. After the beach we are sunned out so we took our umbrella and laid under it... Grace had a friend over to swim for awhile and then we took Kacey to a birthday party at the city pool and we met B.C. and Donna and family at CiCi's pizza so Bailey Catherine and Grace could play and hopefully get excited about school starting. They've bought at new house and we got so see that as well, Beautiful! Starting this year they have 2 in school! Time does fly we were telling the girls that we were in each other's weddings, seems like forever ago!
• Sunday after church we swam for about an hour and then got some rest, we've been more rested in the last week than I remember in awhile and we are so thankful! We had an ice Cream social at church last night and that was good, anytime you have ice cream and friends, life is good!

It could be much worse! Thankful Thursday!

We've had two Dr's appointments in two days!

Yesterday I called at 7 and got Kacey an appointment for 9. She has had a headache and not felt well for awhile. She left with 3 new prescriptions and a diagnosis of a sinus infection... ahh medicine yeah, so it could be much worse! Thank you LORD that we are only dealing with treatable infections...

Today she went back, her Dr was less than thrilled to see her and I got the bad mommy look, right after he said I guess she felt well enough to go to youth last night... ahem yeah. She had an incident involving water kickball and the ground!

after x-rays and back to the Dr. we have a broke finger at the knuckle which is a huge praise, where it was hurting was right below the knuckle and it was only bruised so instead of a cast he was able to splint her hand where she can't move that finger, so it could have been much worse.

So we go back in 3 weeks. Thank you Lord it could have been much worse!

Changes!

Changes, too many too fast!

We are back from the beach and even that was a change.

Kacey sat on the beach with a book and read which is great but just one more sign of the changes at the Narrell home... Some are good and some are sad for Mom and Dad!

We went school shopping today and even little Grace's choices show that she is growing up.

ahhhh What's a Mom to do! I guess just keep praying that they'll make good choices and stay on God's path... AND PRAY>>> and trust.

Another milestone for today ~ after much debate she was finally ready to get her ears pierced.

After it was done her only comment was that it hurt a lot less than the two jellyfish stings she got this past week.

And last but certainly not least, Kacey moves up to the Youth group at church tonight... What more do you add to that WOW! When I wasn't looking they got all grown up on me. I'll post more beach pictures later.
