Halloween dress up day at school!

The kids didn't have a dress up day but a theme day. Grace's theme for today was Hippie.. It is always such fun in car line seeing all the kids and teachers all dressed up. And today her class is taking a class picture with them all dressed up. Should be cute!

Enjoy the pictures of our little hippie! Have a great weekend!

So it begins!

Our season started last night against Scottsboro.
Some fans showing their Knight pride!
Warming up for the game!
This was during opening tip off.
She had 10 points.

And we won! And won big! They worked together really well.
Go Knights!
Kacey we are so proud of you!
Happy Friday!

Rainbow!

Thursday on the way to drop the girls off at school, the girls and I were talking about God and how sometimes he blesses us with what we want and sometimes he says no... He sees the big picture where we just see our circumstances. And we saw on the left the most beautiful sunrise and on the right a gorgeous rainbow with red hues that was so vibrant with colors it would take your breathe away. The pictures do not do it justice but it served as a reminder that God loves us so much sometimes he sends us reminders just to see us smile.
We pulled over and snapped the pictures, we couldn't get a good one of the sunrise because of the trees but about the time we got back on the road it was disappearing, Grace said it looked like it was melting. Thank you Lord for the sweet reminder of your promises and your love.

God is good!
Happy Friday!

Politics in her future? Madam Council Woman!

At the beginning of the year, Grace was nominated to the 3rd grade student council. She is loving it. They meet a couple of times a month and get to help and coordinate student activities and vote on fundraisers and school projects. The council members each have one day that they go to the office and led the students in the pledge of allegiance over the loud speaker. She knows the pledge but still we practiced for more than a week and going just the right speed and pronouncing all the words clearly. She loved it. She said that you forget that everybody can hear you! So watch out in a few years ~ who knows!
I for one think she would be a great choice!
Happy Thursday!

Never a dull moment!

Kacey - Do you have anymore of that elixir?
Me - Elixir ~ I'm not sure what you are talking about.
Kacey - when you bought the dudu soap you got some.. I was wanting to use it. Elixir. el...exef
oh exfoliate... yeah, that's it. Do you know where that is..

Crack me up! Just another day!

Pumpkin Patch Part II!

As most of you know, we enjoyed the day with Clay and his girls.
Clay is a great Daddy and loves these precious girls so much.
Andrea is in training for deployment and will be home only for one more week in mid-Nov before she is deployed. Please continue to pray for them, Andrea is such a Great Mom and takes such good care of them, it has to be so difficult for her.
Kailynn slept through the first half!
Shea loved the petting zoo!

And the horse!
And they rode the train! The inflatables!
Kailynn likes her thumb can you tell.

Hay ride!
slide!
Shea was so cute, she tried to carry the pumpkin and she would say "Heavy Heavy"

Happy Wednesday!

Pumpkin Patch! Part I

Saturday after a cold start to the morning the afternoon was GREAT!

So we took advantage of the time and went to the pumpkin Patch!

And if you read my post yesterday you'll notice Kacey was the one who came away with a injury... Note to Papaw he didn't draw blood but left a knot and a bruise in his wake!

Grace on the horse!

On the slide!

On the hayride!

Grace searched the entire pumpkin field for just the right pumpkin! She circled the field twice while we watched, it was funny, she was on a mission.

But she was happy when she was done!

My girls!

Happy Tuesday and I can't wait to show you pictures of the little ones that blessed us with their company! We had a ton of fun. We were sad that Greg didn't get to go, but he was working running water lines to the hunting cabin. I've been warned that now I have no excuse not to go from time to time. See up till a few years ago there was no potty, just woods... ahemm and then they had a potty and the sulfur water kept clogging the pump in the well and wouldn't work so they carry water from the creek to use. YEAH! my thoughts too, that's why I was okay staying home and sending him with a kiss.

Happy Tuesday!

Not Me Monday!

Being brutally honest and living to tell about it!
I did NOT take a recent trip to Wal-Mar! and heard a lady in a really foul mood take the Lord's name in vain, after prayerfully splashing I did NOT receive a cussing like I've not had before.
The same WM trip, I also did NOT see a shopper with a rip in her jeans, in the back with no undergarments on. I am ashamed to admit I did NOT take a second look only because I could believe that she was okay with that.. I have also NOT decided WM is going to be an intentional Mission field for me and every time I go in, I'm NOT going with an intention of splashing someone.
I've also decided that I'm going to go to WM as much as possible because to be honest WM does not scare me!
I was NOT 30 minutes late to work because I couldn't remember if the straightener Kacey used had gotten unplugged and went the long way around to check to make sure to find it was unplugged. I did NOT do all that for nothing! But I would NOT have worried about it all day if I had not checked!
I did NOT go to the Pumpkin patch with so sweet little ones this weekend and if I had I would NOT have let one get bite by a pig??
And guesses who?
Happy Monday.

Time Management!

I've been asking prayers for our family in our Sunday school class for at least a month for time management. God is so God! We've not gone totally crazy with our new schedules and events. We are having to do a lot more planning and tag team the logistics but one day at a time we are blessed and not worn out.. One of my favorite chapters in the bible is the Proverbs 31 woman. I found this devotion that talks about getting to much on our plate and not keeping our focus where God intends it to be.

Capable, Called ... and Exhausted

Hope you enjoy. Happy Sunday!

sniff sniff (wipe tear)

(Edited - our trip was to Little River Canyon and Desoto State Park)
I've been so sentimental lately about my girls and how big they are getting..
Absolutely crazy to see these pictures and see that they are only 3 years old and look at them... How young they look. I look at Kacey now and she just looks like a little lady her baby features, just a memory. ahh well enjoy the pictures and it also is to serve as a reminder to my dear Husband that we need to plan a Saturday to do this again. SOON!
We had left that morning with a cooler and plans to just ride! Sometimes I take for granted that we live in such a beautiful area.

I love this picture. I love their smiles.
And this one, Greg is trying to get Grace to follow and she is not buying it! Love it.
ahh and some sister love. Now if they can look at each other without making a face it is a victory...
I pray you are having a happy Wednesday!
