Weekend....

What happened to last week. It flew by.

Friday night Mom and Dad and I went and birthdayed Judy...

We went to eat Mexican and had fun. I'm so thankful for my family.

Greg, and the girls went to the first Arab football game of the year.

They went with lane and the Maze family.

Speaking of football guess who goes to her first homecoming this year?

Saturday I got to go homecoming dress shopping with Kacey. She is growing up to fast. :-(

It amazes me how the dress code for homecoming has evolved this would have been good enough for my prom...

Here is the one we finally left with.

She's happy so Momma's happy!

And the vine when we got home was GONE....

Greg went to the church skeet shoot and then came home and got busy!

Grace got to play the morning away with the Rowe family and I got some one on one with my oldest Narrellette... what a great day.

I love it with it gone, it looks much better.

Thank you Gregory!

~~

On Sunday after church the girls and I lounged at the pool for a couple of hours and then last night we attended Mountain View with Greg. It was a wonderful weekend.

Hope you had a nice weekend as well!

Or this one, see Grace, yeah she's under water... nice huh!
Ran into sweet old friends.
Recognize Hoffmamma?

Greg and Bucky

Lane and Bucky before they took the plunge..

After that we went to Dewayne and Becky's for some family visiting and then took Lane to meet his dad and noticed a gorgeous moon...

Hope you had a wonderful Saturday!

Tubing Pictures!

Our tubing pictures are back. Here a more than a few...

They turned out ok, considering it was a disposable water camera!

Greg and Grace

Kacey!
One of the milder rapids... We didn't get any of the good ones we were to busy hanging on!

I just thought it was pretty!

On the calm areas we would stay together, laugh, rest and splash!

Kacey

Have we mentioned the water was very cold?

finished one trip, ready to go again!

It seemed I was always in the back...

We had fun, this makes me ready to go back!

My three favorite people

Who knows what I'm doing here!

my feet are up because this is right after Kacey had spotted a snake..

5 snakes in two days did not make Mom happy!

Happy Wednesday!

Day 2

Kristi's sweet babysitter is helping us by letting Kacey hang out some days. We aren't on a bus route and I don't want Mom and Dad to have to go into Arab everyday. I'm thankful for a backup and a very good one at that!

Today was Lawson's first day of Kindergarten as well so it was wonderful that Kacey got to share in his first bus ride experience.

Here comes the bus!

Look both ways...
Can you believe how big they are :-(

Love being part of sweet Lawson's day... Ethan is less than enthused about having Kacey around. Instead of bye Kacey she got a "watch it" I think he does it just because it drives her crazy. It's more funny than anything his sweet little expressions...

Happy Tuesday!

It's here.....

Can you believe my baby is a Freshman, I can't

it's almost more than this Momma's heart can bare...

I'm finding joy in the journey and just enjoying and savoring each minute...

9th grade here we come!

And then my baby baby... 5th grade. How did that happen.

I was at orientation the other night and they were talking about all they would do this year, with 5 paragraph essays and Eco systems and I was like... Wow she's too little for that, and then it hit me hard... she's not, she's in 5th grade, she is still so little in my mind... I'm in complete denial.
But they aren't little anymore, they are growing up.

Our traditional hand picture...

can you believe school is already back in session and can you believe that we are in 9th and 5th grade....

This morning went smooth except the traffic flow at the high school, that's gonna take some work for sure... one day at a time... We are praying for our Kiddos and that it's going to be an awesome year, I'm also praying for Lawson and his Momma for tomorrow when he starts kindergarten... Time can you please slow down just a little.... Please?

Two buckets of Ice Cream kind of weekend!

I told someone yesterday that you know it's a good weekend when you've made homemade ice cream twice!

Friday I took off work for a last day of summer just do what we want kind of day.

We meet the Rowe's and the Lansford's at the Park.

Ethan Loves Kacey as long as she don't touch him! LOL! Grace he follows around and makes every move she makes.. We had a wonderful day and got some much needed rest and fun.

Paige, Kristi, Tracie
Our crew, without Kacey and Ellie... Kacey thought she was to big and Ellie was content so we didn't rock the boat!

Kacey! My 9th grader.... sniff sniff (wipe tear)

Grace attempting to carry Ethan!

Friday night we had Pizza and caught Lighting bugs and beat the guys in Rook ;-) at least that's my story and I'm sticking too it!

And also found this.. a mud puddle... which meant we had a water leak... great!

and it wasn't just in one spot!

And we made homemade ice cream...

Did I mention we won? Well at least one of the games.

Saturday the girls and I spent the day shopping and getting ready for the new school year, Kacey had a youth move up party for the upcoming youth and Greg fixed our water problem..

I know he spent a hard 6 or 7 hours in the heat digging in our yard and working on it.

Thank you dear... I know it wasn't the way you wanted to spend your Saturday. :-(

On Sunday we went to Mountain View and Greg preached.

Then off to Mom and Dad's for Terri's 50th birthday party.

Happy Birthday Sister I hope all your wishes come true.

Roger Lynn was out of town but we got a Sister/Parent picture.

And ate more cake and homemade ice cream!

Then off to Mountain View again for the PM service.

It's fun and scary to see God using Greg the way he is.

I'm very routine oriented and structured so not knowing where we are going from one week to the next has been hard for me. It's no secret in recent years our Church has struggled and we would talk about moving and we felt God's will for us so strongly to just be still... Just be still and now that things are going good and we love going, we are going other places more and more. God's timing sometimes makes us wonder but it is his timing and he is not the God of confusion. We are learning to trust more deeply and just to be... I'm having to learn to let go of things and just be. It's really hard for me and I'm sure that is part of the lesson for me and part of the growth..

Even growth for the girls because we've visited now 4 different churches. So pray for us and that we will be obedient even when it's hard...
