Being honest and living to tell about it!
I did NOT let a special birthday come and go, thinking the wrong date. NOPE, I am the queen of organization!
I did NOT have a small melt down when my 7th grader got a bite on the arm during a basketball game, NOPE NOT me.
I did NOT completely miss my kid's dentist appointment last week. I did NOT forget about it and have to pay a late fee.. NOPE NOT ME!
I have all my presents wrapped!
I have all my food bought.
I am NOT feeling really unprepared and have totally let time and Christmas slip up on me, NOT me!
I did not have a dentist apt last week and they lost power to equipment and have to cancel only to have the power to the whole building off for the rescheduled time, that would NEVER happen to me.
Merry Christmas!

Saturday PM!

After getting home earlier than expected we decided that it would be a great night to make candy. We made peanut butter balls. For years it was a tradition to make candy with my Sisters and now I get to make them with my sweet girls.
We set up a table in the Living room a bit messy but we watched some Christmas specials while we worked.
Not all of them perfect ball size but they were made by the sweetest two babies on Earth!

Smiles and Messes later we enjoyed the unexpected free night. Making candy by the tree.

Finished product... Greg tested and approved!
And Grace loves a good puzzle and she and Greg worked on the Space puzzle right in the walkway of the kitchen floor... hmmm, my house is a mess and we have so much to do but for tonight we just enjoyed each other.
Happy Saturday!
Is there a specific candy you make every Christmas?

Christmas tournament!

Well the way the tournament ended up today we were scheduled to take on the winner of Game 3 today which just so happen to be Arab's own 8th grade... A little unusual but it's the way it ended up. 8th grade beat Corner to end up playing us. So oddly enough both teams were pretty nervous about playing their own. But it was a win win for us, if 7th grade won Great! If 8th grade won then that was okay too hey it's our 8th grade they are supposed to have more experience! I took a picture of the coach's talking pre-game. Kacey ended up with I think 4 points, which was pretty good since she didn't get to play as much as she might have if she hadn't have had, yes you guessed it 4 fouls... We've got to work on that! At the beginning of the game Greg looked at me and said, I always yell Go Arab, and just what am I supposed to say today? Go blue!

In the end we lost but it was a Great game, they both played each other hard. I'm also happy to report that the 8th grade won 1st place in the tournament. Great job girls.

Game 1 ~ Christmas Tournament

Tonight was game 1 in the Christmas tournament at Birmingham. Another rainy night on the road! I have a habit of taking a picture before it starts and I've noticed Kacey pulls on her shorts and rocks, she is ready!

She had 4 fouls again, we are seriously going to have to work on that!

5 pointsand they came away with a win!
I am going to be gray before this season is up. ALL the girls did AWESOME, she has a great team and they have come a long way. Tomorrow we are Birmingham bound again! Wish us luck!

Christmas Party!

This morning was Grace's Christmas party! It was also Kacey's last semester exam test!
We are so thankful to have a school break! WE are ready. No studying for 2 weeks! That brings me JOY! Grace had breakfast for her party snacks! I delivered the drinks in a monsoon! What is up with all this rain, I am ready for some snow or sun!
Alie, Grace, Beth and Sarah Beth
Grace's teacher has gone through some trials this year and so Grace was blessed with two wonderful teachers this year. This is Ms. Thomas, she is in the class all the time so when Mrs. Hill needs to be out she is right there to step in. Here is Grace with Mrs. Hill. Grace loves Mrs. Hill and she is always in her prayers, it's the sweetest thing when she prays for her, She is through with the first part of her treatments and is in the next round, please remember her and pray that she will soon be Cancer free.

class full of kids/parents!
See you next year!

Christmas Lights, I like it!

If Shea said once she said a thousand times, Christmas lights, I like it!
Last night Clay called ballgames and the girls stayed with us so what better night to go to the Botanical Garden's and enJOY the Christmas Lights! The Narrell's/Mamaw and Papaw and Shea and Kailynn. We had a lot of fun and they loved the lights.

They loved the lights you drove under

Shea was all about the animals.
My favorite!

This one is for Kacey! Because I sometimes call her my raptor... A story for another time!

Merry Christmas!
AND TGIF!

Joy

http://www.hondarowesa.blogspot.com/ Krowe issued a challenge! I'll confess that I've been almost to tired to recognize joy lately. It reminds me of that country song that says something about "when I think about all I've got, even my bad days aren't that bad..." We are thankful.. and we do have joy. So things that have brought me joy lately include but are not limited too the following:

"It hasn't spread"
A hug from a teenage daughter without asking for it or just taking one!
"Mommy that strader hissed at me"
Breakfast from a friend when they knew I was having a rough day!
Getting to met a friend for lunch!
"Welcome to Disney World"
A dental hygienist that took the time to be my HERO!
A great nights sleep
The best Hot chocolate in the Grove!
Semester tests are almost over!
A Godly husband that loves me even when I'm not so lovable!
Our Christmas tree, playing the Christmas light game.
Scout!
The blessing to be able to reach out to friends during a hard time they are enduring.
I love you all and you my friends, bring me joy!

Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
