Things I love!

I love that Greg took a picture of my flower to show me since I hadn't slowed down enough to notice. I love the flower and I love that he thought of me when he saw it...

I love my girls... They are growing up so fast and are such special young ladies. I love how they get along now and are so encouraging to one another. Even though they get on each others nerves sometimes, let one of them have a bad day and the other one flies into fix in mood.. I love that.

We are loving the break of spring break this week. The no sports/homework stress. Monday night we went to see the Hunger games. We've just been trying to do a few little things we don't usually get to do, last night was Happy Feet 2.

Yesterday Kacey was invited to go with a friend to her church and instead she said can I come over after. I said, you can go if you like and she responded. Nope I like my church. :-) I love that she is content where we are. I love that last night when we were outside for mission friends we were on a blanket during a lesson. We had bowed our heads to pray and although I miss our little people from UG, we are blessed and then the youth started singing and that 30 plus voice sound moved me to tears. Yes Lord I hear you, I love that you give us peace just when we need it that we are exactly where you want us. I love that!

Monday....

I slept 13 hours on Friday night. I was exhausted. On Saturday... I cut dozens of ferns and monkey grass back and I may or may not have been so sore it hurts to move... I took this picture of the flower beds and love that I got my youngest playing in the background. My flowerbeds are still a mess but much better. We had a very restful weekend! Saturday night we had a wonderful night with the Rowe family they grilled us dinner and at one point had big people on little toys!

After the rain it was so pretty outside. Cold though!

On Sunday we didn't do much of anything. A late night run for ice Cream. Hello Spring Break! We've been off so much for Tennis and 5 possible more days to come so we are working through Spring Break... BOOOOOOOO

~ And Guess who is going to be an Aunt and Uncle again? Congrats Jones family!

Happy Monday!

Stuff!

This week has been long, I love getting home when there is still sunlight to enjoy but they time change this past weekend is taking some getting used to for us. We are tired, really tired.

Monday we had tennis and to be honest I can't even remember what I did Tuesday, how sad is that? I have no idea! NONE! I don't think I was home but don't remember where i went... :-) we are tired, we are so ready for Spring Break!

Just some ramblings....

~ For the last 4 weeks I've been given the opportunity to serve with the younger children at church on Wednesday nights, I'm enjoying it but guarding against trying to do too much, I feel like I need to be out front with Greg now as much as possible.

~ This morning...

Kacey: Momma can I spend the day with McKayla Tuesday, it's her birthday?

Me: I guess, when is her surgery (wisdom teeth being removed)

Kacey: Monday

Me: You know she is going to feel rough and she may not feel like doing much

Kacey: I know, I figure we'll lay around and watch movies ... If I'm going to have a rainy day friend, I need to learn to be one!

I love it... she sooo gets it!

~ Grace is enjoying her church classes and is starting to make friends and fit in more.

~ This week Grace had a friend problem. She came to me in tears and just poured her heart out and cried. The next morning we were getting ready for school and she said, Momma, thank you for listening to me. Just talking it out and you being there made me feel better. I smiled thanking God I had stopped and listened instead of going through the busyness of the day. I also smiled because I had done the same thing the night before after the girls were in the bed I had talked for over an hour on the phone with a friend, even though it didn't change the circumstance it sure made me feel better. :-)

~ Kacey's foot is thankfully better

~ My girls are so excited about the Hunger Games movie coming out this week, they've both read all three books. I see the movies in our near future!

Happy Thursday! I pray you are having a good week and are able to enjoy this awesome weather we are having, it feels like May instead of March... I think we skipped Spring!

Phone Pictures....

Both Girls have all A's... With sports and church and running I'm super proud of them for staying focused. I don't have a picture of Grace's but she did GReat as well. Her lowest grade being a 98. Yes, that does say 9 tardies... but it's from orthodontist, doctor, permit etc.... not sleeping late.

My backseat on Saturday!
My trunk saturday.

my girls new to her clubs.

my oldest girl late.... doing who knows what, asking do you like my hair like this... I was so in the bed.

Finding joy in the journey one step at a time!

A full weekend....

Friday afternoon, Greg went Turkey hunting and I went from Work to Cullman to watch Tennis! Grace was picked up by Mamaw and Papaw and treated to some chicken and Grace time! Kacey's team lost at Cullman but they were state champs last year, so we knew it was going to be tough. Most lost pretty bad, Kacey's singles were 5-7 and 4-6... She played GREAT I was so proud of her, sometimes it's totally about the attitude and not the outcome!

Saturday we slept late then headed to Arab, We had a friend getting rid of some golf clubs so without telling Grace we started there. She found a set she loved that were larger than her pink ones she had been using... She was so excited. From there we headed to Wal-Mart. Grace has lost her glove from last year, it was probably time to get a larger one anyway but we bought a glove and a basketball. Theirs was having trouble holding air. We laughed at the fact we had bought a basketball, softball glove and golf clubs all in the same day! We headed to Guntersville and bought some summer/spring clothes and shoes. Kacey was okay but Grace could wear nothing from last year. So after a few stores/and decoration flowers bought/Generations tent sale/ Belks (we found Grace's Easter Dress and shoes) we finally landed at home. Worn OUT!

Greg got home around lunch went to Mtn View for a meeting, went to his parents to fix a lawnmower and then came home to this! So he mowed and cleaned up our yard.
Our Crab apple trees are starting to bloom.

Grace and I went to Papaw's she was itching to show off her new clubs. Since Papaw has a miniature golf course in his backyard it was the perfect spot to try them out.

She can hit the ball pretty far, a lot farther than I ever could...

This was our house at 11 pm when I was sick of hearing the ball hit the return slot and get kicked back... Can we say.... GO TO BED! :-)

Today after church we left to go to Terri's for a birthday gathering for the Paschall kids. We were late but it was nice to see everyone.

I can not get over this March weather that's sooo hot...

The adults...

My dad even got in on the fun!

I think here Dad was saying... DOn't touch my boat I'll flip over!

I got in on the fun a little... It's harder getting in and out and staying dry than you think.

We made it back to church by 6. It's been a full good weekend. I just need another weekend to recover.

Wednesday

Grace's class made these bags our of duct tape.

Some of the Youth

Today is beautiful and the sun is shining gorgeous! I'm trying to be positive. I've been asking Kacey to focus on positives lately and I'm trying to be an example...

I really want to say, I'm worn out and it's only Thursday! But I won't!

Grace was finally feeling much better this morning, I pray we are on the mends from the bug and no one else decides to entertain it! Kacey's foot isn't better...

Praying them up. The older they get the more I find myself on my knees. It is amazing what these kids are exposed to now... Praying my girls up! One day at a time!

I'm so blessed to be there Momma!

Tennis is not for Wimps!

With Basketball, Kacey practiced everyday but only played 2 games a week. Tennis is not for wimps! This three and four matches a week are hard on her and us! I am exhausted tonight and never left the bench! Last night the Lady knights defeated Boaz. Kacey/Emma won doubles 8-2. Kacey won her singles.. 10-5. Almost through Singles it began to rain, they called a brief break to let it pass over and let the court dry. they went back Kacey on the next point stepped way out to hit a ball and re injured her foot. Same place. She was able to finish and then the trainer looked at it and same as last time she is over extending her arch. Ice/Advil and we bought arch cushions for her shoes but tonight they didn't last but through the first set and out they came. She said they were causing it to hurt worse. So they called a injury time out and tried wrapping it up and that helped a little but you could tell it still hurt.

They played at Point Mallard today. Her doubles match started at 3:30 and ended at 5:30... again, tennis is not for wimps. Emma/Kacey lost their first set 4-6 and were losing the second set 1-4 before coming back and tying the set at 6-6. After and Ad in, Kacey/Emma won and it went into a tie breaker. They lost the tie breaker 7-10

They fought hard and I was sooo proud of them and the character/witness they show win or lose!

It was sooo hot... I can not get over this March weather... 84 degrees when they began.

What a volley! ;-)

and allergy season is kicking us hard as well.

Starting singles. they twirl their rackets to see who gets to serve first, I know everyone does it but it totally gripes me when they do because rackets are not cheap.... ;-)

And this is what time we got home

On another note Greg carried Grace to softball. She hasn't felt well all week. Poor baby. I remember when they were little and not feeling well and we were limping through the week I would just pray Lord help us make it through Friday and we are going to rest/crash come Saturday! This is one of those weeks... Lord help us make it the rest of the week.
