Saturday

We started off our Saturday delivering Shoe Boxes..
75 a UGFBC record.

They had the shoe boxes on the alter to dedicate on Sunday...
Then off to celebrate our favorite 5 year old!
I think Kacey took 100 pictures of these two, playing with the camera.
And played on the trampoline... My graceful babe!
then home to put our tree together... not decorated but at least together...
Putting our HUGE tree together is most the battle. I let my sweet ones do that while I mostly laid on the couch. :-) Sinus crude is evil!

finally together....
Happy
Saturday!

N - Thankful Me!

N- for Me... Means Nest... I love outdoors... I know I'm reaching and you have to go back and reread H because I changed it from Home to Health! I'm allowed to do that because well for one it's my game and two I am on sinus medication and I'm groggy and going with it! Because my nest is my home! Home, is where our family gets to go at the end of the day... where our days might have not gone great, but we are home and together. Our retreat against the world. Our not always spotless home but it's Home and I pray it will always be a calm in life's storm where our children will always feel loved, and God will always be the centerpiece. I'm thankful today for my home and for the loved ones that fill it...
I'm thankful for the laundry that I share my life with precious souls to wear it.
I'm thankful for the dirty dishes and the dirty sinks...
Just Another day in Paradise No other place I'd rather be.

Arab vs. Boaz

As always I'll post Mark's pictures later.
Before every game the players run out and meet in the middle and pray.
Thank you Lord!
I've not gotten a great picture so far but I love that they do that.
Huddle before the game.
Tip off!
Final score... Kacey had 18 points!
Way to go Kacey!
Jr. Lady Knights 8 - 0!

Grace's 1st game of the year!

Grace's first game of the year...
All smiles!
Daddy! enough said!
Greg and BC... who would have thought 20 years ago they would be coaching together.
Throwing in the ball.
Shooting foul shots.

They lost but what a great first game of the year.... Go Comets!
We love you Grace and are super proud of you!

Testimony

I'm sure you are looking at this picture and thinking what is that... The sign says last Call for Kenneth Narrell. He was a founder of the Danville Fire station. Help raise the funds to build the station and served as a volunteer for 30 plus years. Also, served at county level. Served as Deacon, of Danville Baptist Church and served at least once on every committee that the church has. He and his family lost a son almost 30 years ago. He had a awesome testimony. He served his family and community. Without hesitation or regrets.
The funeral procession was from Danville to Arab along the road you saw reminders like these of the lives he had touched. Hartselle Fire station, Rock Creek and Arab, all had tributes similar to what you see here. So I guess I rattle on to just ask you what I've asked myself today... What kind of testimony are you leaving? Are you happy today where you are in life and what you are investing in? Is what I'm investing in really going to matter 2 or 10 years from now?
