Veteran's Day

Kacey had a two hour basketball practice and tutoring and after the funeral Grace and I spent some more donated money we had for Operation Christmas Child.
Then we constructed together!
We are blessed beyond words to have the opportunity to participate one more year.
With a new church family

After shoe boxes we put the tree together.  We will not be home again for awhile so if we can just get it together it's a help.  Maybe we can decorate one night next week.  Otherwise we're not home enough to enjoy it.  So we watched a Christmas movie and Grace and Greg put the tree together.
and had some fun.

Today we also talked about how on Veteran's day's past we used to bake something and carry it to a veteran and we missed doing that this year.  We used to carry something to Papaw Powell every year.  It made my heart ache thinking about never being able to do that again.  We do take so much for granted.
I'm challenged to take some time this week and find a way to spend some time with the people I love the most.  Happy Veteran's day!
