July! Where did you go!

WOW! Can you believe it is almost August and almost time for school to start?

It makes me sad it has gone so fast.

Kacey has been really busy.

June was Basketball and July Tennis and let me just

say Tennis is not for Wimps!

She has completed her 2 tournament requirement.

In heat that made her sick!

Her 12 hour workout requirement plus a few extra hours

and 1 of 3 challenge matches. We completed the one last night and another one we will get done tonight all while our house is a mess because the bathroom is out and the window is taking longer to come in than we planned for so we are at a stand still waiting on that... So I'm trying to destress the fact we wanted it complete when school started...

And last night a challenge match that should take a little less than an hour took right at 2 because they were so closely matched and it kept going back and forth.

So sometime I need to pack for an upcoming trip... I may not sleep Wednesday night so I can pack but it will get done, one thing at a time...

But I can say even though we need to stay home and get the bathroom done since the Window is scheduled to come in Thursday while we are gone. We are ready for some fun and a break so if we had a door on the bathroom :-) we would just close it so we don't have to look at it until we get back but since we don't we just turn our head when we walk by!

I love that Kacey is volunteering, the first year I volunteered I was a very Pregnant new Mommy to be... I love that it has now come full circle. I pray she has a servants heart.

Catch up!

We've been so busy this summer on Thursday night we stopped and let the girls have some friends over. Grace and Alyssa were in 1st Grade together and have remained so close ever since... Matching outfits was completely by accident...

And Kacey invited Paige over... We had a fun night with the exception that we are still down to one bathroom that happens to be off our bedroom but besides that it was Great. Greg had to work Friday and the girls and I all slept late and then went for a 1:45 movie. Despicable me in 3D ~ It was a cute kids movie. We all enjoyed it.

Then ate a really late lunch and the girls played the rest of the day...

Saturday Greg and I spent the day buying stuff for the bathroom and then we attended a surprise Birthday party for Becky...

Sunday after working in the nursery, and then getting a nap! We decorated for VBS.

I'm serving this year with a GREAT assistant~!

I've not been blogging lately because I've been busy with VBS preparation and this...

What a mess but the only thing left to pull out is the tub!

I am celebrating no more AVOCADO green in the bathroom!

Remember VBS this week ~ lets bathe it, our workers, children, leaders and our church in prayer... Oh, and parents too. Pray that the devil is bound and that we have a glorious week with kids growing in Christ...

It's a tiring week but one of the best weeks of the year for us.

And this year Kacey is to old to be in a class but I'm so pleased to say she volunteered. she is helping in pre-school recreation, see EVERYONE has a place....

Our weekend....

Friday Kacey went to Spring Valley with the church youth group.

Saturday began a tournament she was in for tennis at point Mallard.

This is one reason I love my husband, he's a great dad.

He packed her little cooler for the courts.

No pictures of Saturday's tournament games but I think I was too busy sweating...

And like we have nothing else to do we tore out our front bathroom to be remodeled... Crazy huh. And then we had been promising a certain young lady a fishing trip.


She LOVES to fish... Me not so much!

Kacey had gone to a horse show.

Sunday's Semifinals.

Kacey played hard.... It was crazy hot...

One of the participants on the court next to her had to have medical attention during the tournament due to the heat... Terrible heat.

She had lots of water/Gatorade and her Frog tog chillin pad....

and she won!!! She was really excited.

so the Finals were Monday night and she played hard but lost...

But seeing how this time last year she had never even played.... NOT to bad...

Summertime!

We are loving summertime and the no homework right now. Grace has been playing with her stuffed animals and made a way to be able to walk them... Made it... what a wonderful imagination....

And she didn't have wheels, do you see what she used?

And on vacation Greg and I had a new dish, we tried to replicate it last night.

It was good, but not quite as good as the restaurant, but hey food always taste better when someone else cooks it anyway...

Shrimp and Grits... sounds strange but it was tasty, must have been there wasn't any left!

4th of July weekend.

What a busy weekend. Friday night we ate and spent the evening with Jeff, Jamie and the boys. Saturday we spent the day working in the yard and getting some home projects done. I accomplished the task of tearing up our riding mower again and went and purchased a push mower and at least got a little accomplished... Sunday we went to church and swam for a few hours. Sunday night, Mom, Dad, Kristi, Bucky and the boys and Clay and his girls came over and we grilled and shot fireworks, LOTS of fireworks and ate grape homeade ice cream! Lawson and Grace used over 20 boxes of the snap and pops.... our driveway looked like snow. They loved them. I didn't take a lot of pictures and what I did didn't turn out great... I need to do better.

Monday, Greg worked at the cabin. Ashley spent the day with Kacey, we went to the orthodontist and swimming and ended the day with Fireworks at Gayla and Larry's.

Weekend packed completely full... But that's okay our hearts are pretty full too!
