This was the beach in front of our Villa at low tide.
We walked down to driftwood beach, it didn't look like the same beach at low tide. Everytime we went it looked so different depending on the tide.
Not as pretty without the water huh?
Jekyll Island has two rivers that empty around it. The area between Jekyll and St. Simons is a shipping channel.

As you can see the sand is more for mud pies than sand castles...
The driftwood did come in handy for some things!
