Grace's Basketball Party..... Thursday!

Thursday was all planned out....

I changed clothes at work had clothes for Greg and Grace in the car so off I go

I pick up Grace head to the tennis courts to watch my girl play Hartselle...

Grace's basketball party is at 6, Kacey should be through by then... All is good. NOT!

Greg's not got to see Kacey play Tennis yet!

Her first two matches he was SICK running high fevers and then on Monday, she played Doubles and Singles so he gets there as she is walking off the court.... The matches moved fast...

Yesterday the matches were running slow... imagine so at 5:50, he and Grace head to her party and Kacey walked on the court at 6.... finished at 6:35 and Kacey and I headed to the party. We got there in time to see the trophy's handed out and watch the cupcake madness.

Kacey won 8 - 0. First time they had beat Hartselle as a team in 3 years.

Way to go Knights!

Oh, and there are no Tennis pictures because 1. I sent my camera by Greg so he could get pictures of Grace and 2. I was sitting in Dad's van pulled up close so we could watch from the Van since the wind was horrible and after sitting out there for already 2 hours my head already!

We ended the night with ice cream to top off a great season.

Almost over.... tonight is Grace's last game.

Last night they played the Arab Sun.

Grace is so sad tonight is it.

And she is my MVP!

Weekend in Review....

Greg went hunting this weekend and the girls and I were so content to do not much of anything.

Friday night we cleaned and watched movies. On Thursday of last week Grace checked out of school early not feeling well and by Friday she had a horrible cough to match.

So we just enjoyed the night...

Saturday Kacey had a tennis lesson at 11 and it was gorgeous, but windy. Grace sat in the car by the courts watched Kacey and read but I walked and it was so nice. Afterwards we ran by a couple of stores and I found two treasures, a table I intend to paint for Kacey's room and this... a gossip bench. I recovered the seat and now I love it.

Saturday afternoon I got the blessing of visiting some of our church family and I love being able to go... It's been so encouraging each time we've had the opportunity to go. I'm so thankful!

Saturday night more nothing....

Sunday we visited a church that Kacey attends sometimes with Kelsey. We enjoyed it.

With Greg hunting and not teaching Sunday School and I didn't have Children's church so it was a good opportunity to go hear Hailey sing. Mike and Anita have been so good about supporting our girls that it was nice to be able to do the same with Haley. She and Jeremy did a fantastic job... The church doesn't have a choir they have a worship and praise team and they had just became a part of that team the week before. Grace as well had started Saturday night running a low fever 99.5 and still had one Sunday morning so it was a nice way to attend church without her being in children's church or Sunday school to pass germs. She never really felt bad, just that horrible cough but no fever all Sunday afternoon!

Sunday afternoon, Kacey played tennis for a little while and I walked and then spent the time in my car reading my bible and just sitting in the sun. It was so nice and a very restful Sunday.. I felt recharged and ready for the week ahead.

They chased Parker, jumped on the trampoline and played.
Kacey went to watch a movie with some friends...

Sunday after church Kacey spent about 4 hours on a history project, I spent about an hour of that helping and then about 2 hours getting the best Sunday nap ever!
On a side note, here it is Tuesday and she still has a big mess in my Kitchen where she needs to clue everything down... She waited to do that last.

Weekend Madness!

Thursday night Grace played in her Christmas Tournament... She did GREAT!

On Friday we had Grace's class Christmas Party...

I can not believe how fast this year is going by.

This is Grace's homeroom teacher. She is wonderful.

Saturday morning Grace had play practice and Greg and Kacey went back to Birmingham.

Kacey and the Lady Knights won against Hewitt Trussville 47 - 13.

Mountain Brook came into the tournament 14 - 0.

Kacey played wonderful!

She had 18 points and hustled and played her heart out...

But most of all today she had fun...

She enjoyed the game!

They lost by 2 but Kacey made the All tournament Team.
