AAU Saturday!

AAU Friday and Saturday....

Our last AAU weekend...

We are sad because she loves it but so not sad because we are ready for some down time...

Friday.....

Friday was the end of Spring Fling..

Friday was the day of olympics...

8th grade won, which makes Kacey's class the first to sweep all three years...

She competed in the spoon relay, they're team was the blackout...

Then to Arab for some AAU

They won!

But it was a rough game....

Saturday in Lexington...

Since my Allergy mess is keeping me indoors, why not sit at games... 3 at 11, 2, and 6.... Needless to say we were gone all day!

She made points and played great... I can't keep up anymore on who we played and what she scored what game but she is having fun and that's what matters.
They played some great competition and stayed focused...

This team meant business. We lost but only by 7 and they played a great game.

Saturday Kacey and I spent the day at the gym... the entire day...

I spent about 7 hours working the concession stand and the other 4 I was there I was in the stands watching Kacey play. I am so thankful she is loving it.

She has meet some sweet new friends.

They ended up having a really good day.

The tournament took place in three gyms so afterwards we cleaned. We got home around 10:30 and I can say I am not sure I've ever been this tired....

Friday night hoops

Today was the kickoff for the tournament our teams are sponsoring to raise money for us to attend other tournaments.

Kacey's game was first, they won 39 - 9!!!

Way to go girls...

After she played Dad, Grace and I went home...

Ahh home sweet home, you feel so good.

I need to get a few things done and cleaned..

Not to mention Grace and I made fudge :-)

Greg and Kacey stayed to help and support the other teams.

AAU tourney 2

Pictures are from my phone since I thought I forgot my camera. But only I didn't... but didn't know I didn't until I got home.

Game one...

Lost by around 10!

Game 2 - Lost by 7

Game 3 - She played up on the 9th grade team. They lost by 7

Game 4 won by 2!

It was a rainy nasty day of Saturday basketball in the great state of Tennessee!

We left home early and arrived home late! :-)

She played in 4 games with 1 - 3 record.

but she is learning and having fun!

Saturday AAU

Saturday was Kacey's first AAU tournament.

She is playing with Alabama Lightning.

This was their first game they played the twisters and lost 18 - 25.

they played well together being their first time to play as a team.

there are a few from Arab, Fairview, cullman and Brewer that make up the team.

Then after lunch on to game 2

they played the Lady Blazers.

And won by 5 points. Not a high scoring game but a game of defenses that was for sure!
