I am so thankful for my village! I’m looking forward to starting the new year. 2017 left me a little weary but God always shows His mercy and Grace. Especially during storms.
A year ago today, Mom was diagnosed with lung cancer and lymphoma. but God... she tested positive for a gene mutation. So after a year she has been able to take an auto immune drug that has kept her cancer from growing! She has had complications but we’ve seen God’s hand in these last 12 months. Continue to pray for her as she fights.
Dad had a heart attack in June and had a quadruple bypass. But God..... allowed him to seek medical attention and is healing him.
Greg for the past two years has fought a severe case of hives. During the summer after 3 new Dr’s and numerous test with no answers and his symptoms steadily becoming worse to the point of changing his daily activity. ...but God used a stranger with a similar story to prompt Greg to ask questions and a Dr was able to determine he had become allergic to a cholesterol pill he had been on for many years.
Grace had a lymph node enlarged and had to have it removed and biopsied. But God.... benign.
So this week as we closed 2017 Kacey had her tonsils/adenoids removed and Greg has been down with walking pneumonia. But... I can honestly say by the grace of God 2017 was good in that it has taught me to more deeply and fully rely on God and to enjoy every single minute. Not to take moments or people for granted. To find Joy in my circumstance because I’m a child of the King not because our circumstances have been easy.
The picture has a few items I received for Christmas! I love the the sparrow picture it reminds me He is in control and watches over me daily. The He is faithful in every season because it’s so true. And being able to rely on my family during this time is powerful but the picture etched on the plate of our church reminds me of my precious church Family who has continuously encouraged us and prayed us through this last year. I know all situations don’t have a happy ending but I encourage you today if you’re in the midst of a storm turn to the only one that can calm the sea. The only one that can grant peace. Peace that passes all understanding. I also encourage you to find a church home that can support you through the storms. Because we are all in a some kind battle and we all need encouragement and we all need Jesus!
