Day 1 of Play State Tournament

 (above) Team Meeting with all the players

 12 teams!

 First Doubles... I just took one or two pictures each match of warm ups.  I didn't want to distract.  :(

First Match was Hartselle, we lost to Hartselle at 3 seed during regular season but that was Alexis and Alyssa playing.  Kacey was just back from Basketball and just playing singles.  So we knew it would be tough. 

 After the match.  We won 6-2, 7-6 (tie breaker 9-7)

 Below is the second doubles Match against Walker.

 It was a really tough Match

 Some of the Arabian Faithful!  Loved how they would go from one side to the other depending on what side our team was on. :)

 2-6, 7-6( we won the tie breaker 7-0!) then 6-4!  Early in the Second set Kacey went up to hit a ball and came down on her ankle wrong and rolled it.  :( She went down in tears.  I really didn't expect her to keep going, once a trainer is on site they have 10 minutes to resume play or they have to forfeit.  They got her ankle wrapped and a brace on her and she got up and played.  It was 2-5 and Love 40.  Walker needed one point to win that set and it was over, our girls fought back and won that one and the next 3 to put the set into a tie breaker.  It was amazing!!! 

 After rolling her ankle she was on it for another hour and a half before she was off of it.  She got a first round bye in singles so the trainer wanted to ice it since she had some time in between.  So he wrapped it and then helped her to the tent.

 Where she got lots of petting!  :)

 and energy food, strawberries with Honey and a crustable with Honey!  Then a little while before her first Singles they wrapped it and put the brace back on it again.

 Single warm ups with Chilton County  By this time Greg had carried Grace to the DR!  she got her cast off and they were back to watch!  Clothes in hand to watch tomorrow!

 She won to advance to the semi-finals 6-2, and 6-0

On to the Semi Finals tomorrow for Singles and doubles!  Go Kacey!!!!
So back to the Hotel.. Hot bath and more ice!  Greg went to get food and delivered her Dinner in Bed at 9:30!
