Relay for Life Team McGee Part 1

I had to break Relay for Life post up just because new blogger doesn't cooperate sometimes!

Mountain View's Team was Team McGee

In Memory of Sheila who passed away last December.  She had two small children and it was Greg's first funeral. 

Carol was our team captain and did a Great job, we had sword fighting for $1!

Donut Men, Grass and Dr. Pepper

God is so good!  He works out all the details even when this crazy Momma doesn't know what she's doing!

yesterday on the way to drop Kacey off at Powder puff she said something about getting something tomorrow when we go to pick up Grace's donut Men...  (See ever year we get donut men and take to her class for her birthday)  only this year I forgot to order them... YIKES!

I told Kacey don't mention it maybe she will not remember.  Kacey said Grace was the one to remind her.. GREAT!  I never even thought about ordering them. 

So up Early and off to Papa's daylight donuts .  I was preparing her to take plain donuts and got there and we in line backed up to the door.  Grace counted 32.... by the time we got to the register there were 24 we needed 23.  The man behind me had been talking up the donut men and there are two registers and I stepped up to one a half minute before him and screeched... can I have all the donut men you have left?

So God is good and she got her donut men.  She was happy.  Now Daddy behind me was NOT.  I did let him have the extra one and got in trouble because Kacey had wanted it but we survived!

Then she piped up and said I need a can drink it's reward day for AR points....

seriously!!!!

So around the world.  Dr. Pepper in hand, 23 donut men and a happy almost 11 year old!

All in a days work!

The freshmen last night beat the Juniors in Powder Puff so today at school was the final playoff the Freshmen play the Sophomores. The Freshmen won and we had some happy kids.

Just Another Day in Paradise!

Thursday! Kacey Award's day!

Well we've made it through to Thursday on this Crazy whirlwind week!

Today was Kacey's Awards day!

From Award's day I went to work!  Meet Mom and Dad at 4:15 for Kacey's doctor's appointment.  It wasn't as rough today as it was Tuesday but still rough.  Then to Grace's game for part of it.  I took Kacey to Powder Puff.  She was bummed she didn't get to play but a broke tailbone and Powder puff do not mix.  She got to be on the sidelines and be an assistant coach though.  I went to Jessica's and to the Lazy G to help with wedding preparations.  I got home around 9:30 and I am worn out! 

I feel like we are on a roller coaster just going and can't get it to slow down much less stop.  We are praying for rest and for discernment of when to say no or can we do it another day.  That is hard for both Narrells!

Tuesday!

We are in the midst of a busy week...  3 games and lots of other activities.  Tonight Grace had a game.  They won!

We are in the midst of the busy season and it's driving me crazy.  Our yard grass is going to seed!

Today I took Kacey to the Chiropractor and we have a broken tailbone.  NOT GOOD!

Next week is tryouts and they are just trying to get her stable enough to participate even though she'll not be able to do all the drills. 

I don't know that I've ever hurt for her so much.  When they did that first adjustment it brought tears to my eyes.  I know it hurt her so.  She was tough though.  She's been on an ice pack for 4 days now!

True Friends!

Most people would not come on a Monday night to a 1 hour and 30 min ballgame just because they haven't seen you lately.  ESPECIALLY in the rain...

But we are blessed enough to have such special friends.

Weekend Madness!

After Friday night the weekend got a little less great...  Kacey was up a lot Friday night with her Acid Reflux.  She wanted and said she felt like playing Saturday so back we went. 

During the second and last game of the day she took a charge and landed on her tail bone bruising it and causing lots of pain. 

So Saturday and Saturday night she was miserable...

Sunday too...  :-(

I'm thankful we bought them well in advanced because life has been crazy!

Sunday night we had a skatathon at Roller knights.  Team McGee (Mountain View) partnered with the skating rink to raise money for Relay for life. 

Grace did luminaries for Granny and Daddy.  They'll also be at Relay for life on Friday night.

Busy weekend and this week is looking just as busy... One day at a time!

Friday night

Today was CRAZY... Kacey had a Dr's appointment at 2:30.  Greg took her and then brought her to me.  He went to the rec center and booked Grace's pool party for her birthday.  Kacey and I hung out at work for awhile then shopped a little while at bridge Street then went to Bob Jones for a 7 o'clock game that started at 7:30.  Greg and Grace went to Grant for a softball game.  I would have made him take pictures but since he is coach that probably wouldn't have went well.
