After breakfast in bed and some of the sweetest cards/presents that you've ever seen we had a full day of church and family. Happy Mother's day to all you mom's out there. I'm thankful I get to share my life and get to be Mommy to these two beautiful young ladies! I'll have to blog about the rest later ~ must sleep!

We had a small celebration! She had tryouts from 3 - 4:30 and then had AAU Basketball practice last night from 5 - 7:15... after almost 4 hours of practice you would think she would be tired but the excitement ruled all that out, we had some happy girls... And it was Greg's night to carpool the AAU girls. I tried to talk to Kacey on the phone and all you could hear were girls screaming! Congratulations Kacey ~ We are proud of you!

This was this morning, Grace's class is dressing up western today! See the pigtails!

Kacey after all the excitement didn't sleep well last night so she was a little groggy this morning!

Remember the yard work and the big mounds of dirt! LOOK the rain has helped our grass seed to begin to sprout. It looks soo much better thanks to my handsome hardworking husband.

Wednesday's update!

It's a good thing it's not a Not me Monday! I've got plenty of ammunition after a crazy morning... But I'm thankful... See, I got a call on my cell right after I dropped Kacey off and it was Kacey... "Hey Mom, Coach Brothers said that you have a flat and you might want to know..." Thanks, GREAT! so the car was handling fine sooo I went ahead and took Grace to school and zipped to Walmart's automotive dept...got out... nothing, my tires looked fine... One of the mechanics sees me walks out and we all just look at it and nothing so he said it maybe the way the car was sitting, I chose to believe GOD blessed me with a non flat tire this morning!

Tryouts are still going and the wonderful young lady at the Narrell household is still quite on edge... they had their first cut yesterday and cut all but 21 so today is another round... the worse part is they call out the ones that are cut in front of everyone...OUCH! Kacey said yesterday they called out Kacey and she said she panicked thinking oh no, and then someone from the back asked which Kacey, she didn't realize there was another Kacey, so she is a little high strung this week. Please contine to pray for her! That she'll be calm and do well.

Mirror Messages!

For years when someone has a test or something is going on at the Narrell household we would write encouraging notes on the mirror for the one with the upcoming challenge. It has evolved and I love it... the last couple of months I've been putting scripture on the girls mirror to remind them Greg and I are praying for them. Our favorite one to write is always Philippians 4:13 (Whole Chapter) I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

And sometimes Greg and I found notes like these on our mirror...

Here is one where Greg was reminding Kacey to turn in paperwork..

But the girls love the messages too.

This morning the one on the mirror was from Kacey she wrote "1 day down 4 to go, I can tell that you are praying... Thank you"
So Thank you for all the prayer warriors that are lifting up my kids and the ones around you. Sometimes they may not say it but they appreciate it... And don't stop!

And one of these days I'll miss these messy mirrors!

Not Me Monday!

Good Morning and Happy Not Me Monday!

I am NOT tired this morning from a busy weekend, we did NOT do a thing.

Not us~ we know when to slow down....

I am NOT wondering how I'm going to get my house clean and all I need to done this week as well.. NOPE NOT ME!

We did NOT have a 5 o'clock ball game on Friday night and sit until 7:20 until the game actually started due to a team not showing up... NOT us that is not our luck.

I am NOT asking for prayer for my sweet daughter trying out for basketball this week.

She is NOT nervous! They do NOT have a cut on Wed, then on Thurs and again on Friday.

I'm NOT praying for her reflux during all this as well since she has not eatten all weekend..

We did NOT leave home early this morning just to go by Wal-Mart to buy a hairclip.

I am NOT ready for the rain to slow down I LIKE my yard being a muddy mess. Although the seed is showing signs of life!

PS: On a serious note, please do say a prayer for Kacey when you think of her this week.

Also, we had 3 yesterday in Children's church raise there hand that they were unsaved but God was working in their hearts and they wanted us to pray for them, so you remember them too.

God is so Good!

and for no rain on Friday so Grace's birthday party can happen without us all being confined indoors and yes this one is strictly selfish on my part! :-) We have lots of 7/8 year old girls converging on us and it would be wonderful to be able to play outside!

1st AAU tournament in the books!

Last night's game (Friday) we won! We won by 26 points! Pretty good for a 1st tournament game! We were supposed to play at 5. Arrive at 4:30, long story short our game started around7:20 and we arrived home through torrential rain around 9:30!

The above picture is Kac shooting a foul shot in the second game on Sat morning. We won by 16 points....

Between games we ran to the cemetery to put the flowers on Mamaw and Papaw's grave.

Greg's tying the saddle down so it will stay put in the wind.

And the last game! Long day.. The girls lost by one point. They were really disappointed to lose after such a run. Sometimes I think it is easier when you lose by more, those one point games are heart breakers. But for the first tournament of the season and for it to be the first time these girls have played together I think they did GREAT, Played hard and sometimes it just works out that way.... We had to remind them the girls they played had been playing in tournaments for weeks now so they have a lot to be proud of and brought home a second place trophy... NOT BAD!

And after driving home over an hour again in the rain this is the time when we arrived home and yes that is PM!

Congratulations Girls you did AWESOME!

Beta Club Induction!

TGIF! ~ I don't know about you but I'm so thankful it's Friday.... What a week!
